Here is a feature CollegeFashionista did on me as one of their featured Marketing Interns! :-D
Meet José.
José Daniel Álvarez is a student at LIM College and a Marketing Intern for CollegeFashionista.
As a Marketing Intern, I mainly get to help the CollegeFashionista team come up with cool ideas for collaborations. I also reach out to schools to get them involved with the website, and during nice days I get to go out and do some street style shooting, which I love! The most rewarding thing about interning at CollegeFashionista is being able to pitch in new ideas and being taken into consideration to work on different projects.
My best childhood memory is…when I first came to NYC with my mom. I was amused by the fast paced city, the style and the different kinds of people you run into on the street. From that moment on, I knew I had to be here when I grew up.
My favorite way to spend free time is…reading a good book or walking around the city listening to music and observing people, but overall I am big Broadway geek! I try to go to a show every week if I can get tickets for a good deal. I know the name of all the actors and stay after the show is over to get my playbill signed. Ha!
One thing about me that people normally don’t expect to be true is…that I am 19. Having interned at places like Teen Vogue and Topshop, people usually assume I am older. I am an OCD networker; I am never afraid to introduce myself and take advantage of every possible opportunity!
The most played song in my iTunes right now is…“I Fink U Freeky” by Die Antwoord. I am obsessed with them! I love their quirky, energetic and outgoing style, and the fact that they were in that T by Alexander Wang campaign last year is definitely a plus.
If I could travel anywhere in the world, I’d go to…New Zealand. I lived there for six months when I was 15 and haven’t been back since. It is the most beautiful country I have ever been to! Their culture is breathtaking and the people are very nice and friendly.
Song of the Week:
She is a fashion personality with awesome style. Her songs are kind of indie with a fashion/techno side to them. If you haven’t heard her music yet then you definitely should! In fact this song was played by The Misshapes in the mix for the Bebe Black A/W show in 2012.

Must Watch of the Week:
Great mini documentary by Garage Magazine on the way street style is approached today!
Oh boy do I have a love/hate relationship with this phenomenon.
Song of the Week:
In honor of David Bowie’s new album coming out tomorrow (How excited are we?!) it only seemed appropriate to make his latest single, song of the week.
I am a big Bowie fan and when I heard he was coming out with new stuff I almost D-I-E-D DIED.
With this song I feel like he perfectly captures his classic Bowie essence which reminded me why I loved him so much in the first place.

My Top Magazine Covers March 2013
I know, I know. I missed last month’s top magazines. I have been extremely MIA but now I am completely settled and I wanted to celebrate with this months top covers.
How gorgeous do Kate Moss and Rihanna look in V Magazine? Definitely a cover to remember.I also really like Heidi Klum in Interview Germany. IT is sexy, it is pop and it is artsy. So here are my favorite fashion magazine covers for this month:
