My Top 5 Magazine Covers December 2012:

I can’t believe another year has gone. It was one hell of a year though. It was a fun experience, lot’s of things happened in the fashion industry and lots of projects started as well.

This month’s best magazine covers go mostly to Vogue franchises. They really were my favorites. Also Kate Moss is in 2 of my picks. Not much variation in publications or models, but they are all breathtaking and glamorous. My favorite magazine covers for this month are:

1. Vanessa Axente and Marlon Teixeira for Vogue Italia by Steven Meisel

2. Kate Moss for Vogue España by Mario Testino.

3. Scareltt Johansson for V Magazine by Jean-Paul Goude

4. Coco Rocha for Vogue México by Regan Cameron.

5. Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss for Interview Russia by Mert & Marcus.

I can’t wait to see what 2013 brings in terms of magazine covers, editorials and of course fashion-related scandals, ha!

Happy Holidays everyone!

Summer is here and water themed shoots are taking over fashion editorials. I for one love this Harper’s Bazaar España cover, I think it is a bold choice and aesthetically flawless.  I also love that Emma Stone has been the center of a lot of fashion discussions lately, as well as having another cover this month alongside her (sexy) SpiderMan co-star, Andrew Garfield, for Teen Vogue shot by Josh Ollins.

Now, as I have said before a number of times, I LOVE Karlie Kloss. And she and Joan Smalls look strangely alike, and beautiful for W Magazine this month. So I guess it counts just as one cover, or is it still 2 different ones? Eh…

Here are my favorite covers for this month:

  1. Harper’s Bazaar España featuring Hanaa Ben Abdesslem shot by Txema Yeste.
  2. Vogue Italia featuring Vanessa Axente & Mackenzie Drazan shot by Steven Meisel.
  3. Vogue featuring Emma Stone shot by Mario Testino.
  4. Vogue Nederlands featuring Rianne Ten Haken by Petrovsky & Ramone.
  5.  W Magazine featuring Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls by Steven Meisel

Summer is finally here and bright colors are everywhere! I love this time of the year because like everyone else, fashion takes a small vacation with light and relaxed trends that allow a breeze of fresh air between the heavier seasons.

Just to make it clear, I am NOT a fan of butt cheeks on magazine cover or any other page for that matter, but there is just something about Gisele Bundchen and Vogue Paris that is just chic, how is that possible? I don’t know, but somehow they make it work.

Here are my top 5 magazines for June:

1. GIsele Bundchen for Vogue Paris by Inez Van Lamsweerde.

2. Victoria Beckham for Interview Magazine by Angelo Pennetta.

3. Kate Moss for Vogue UK by Mert & Marcus.

4. Noomi Rapace for Dazed & Confused by Sølve Sundsbø.

5. Brooklyn Decker for Flare Magazine by Max Abadian.

So in honor of the Hunger games I thought it was appropriate to include this cover of Jennifer Lawrence in Interview Germany, plus I love her, and her in this bodysuit. I also loved the hair and makeup of this Número China (as always), and there was one last thing that I thought was a rare risk for a Vogue magazine to take, and it is the fact that Vogue Germany’s cover is in black and white. Although all this covers were great, my absolute favorite was definitely this prom inspired “Night of Nights” Vogue Italia cover.

Here are my picks for this months:

  1. Thairine Garcia, Sojourner Morrell, , Aaron Vernon, Lyle Lodwick, Chrystal Copland and Ethan James for Vogue Italia shot by Steven Meisel.
  2. Jennifer Lawrence for Interview Germany shot by Matthias Vriens-McGrath.
  3.  Xiao Wen for Numéro China shot by Tiziano Magni.
  4. Iris Strubegger for Vogue Germany shot by Peter Lindbergh.
  5. Keira Knightley for Interview shot by Mert & Marcus

My top 10 favorite magazine covers March 2012:

Today it’s my 1 year of official blogging anniversary! Before March 2011 I posted a few pictures but nothing serious, and it wasn’t until that time that I dedicated to Règles D’or and less than a month away I went to a Chanel show!

One of my favorite angels graces the cover of L’officiel Paris, Chanel Iman. I love the combination of the african-chic look she is rocking with the painted flowers on the side, I absolutely love this cover!

I am not a huge Taylor Swift fan to be honest, but doesn’t she look stunning on this cover of Vogue??  Also, I love when magazines take risks on their covers with unusual techniques, as you can see on this Vogue Italia.

Here are my 5 picks for this month:

  1. Chanel Iman for L’officiel Paris.
  2. Taylor Swift for Vogue shot by Mario Testino.
  3. Laura Kampman for Vogue Italia shot by Steven Meisel.
  4. Daria Werbowy for Vogue Paris shot by Inez & Vinoodh.
  5. Coco Rocha for Flare Magazine shot by Chris Nicholls.

What do you guys think? Do you agree?

Ps. How on earth do you wear that Prada bathing suit Daria is wearing in Vogue Paris?! It must only look good on her and Gisele Bundchen.
