It is that time of the year again, the most important month in the fashion industry! The fashion weeks are rushing, the magazines get bigger, and the wardrobe gets chic-er (in my opinion). As last year, I chose not 5 but my top 10 picks for the best covers of the month.

They are all so great, so it was hard to edit them down but here they are:

  1. Carolyn Murphy for Vogue Italia shot by Steven Meisel.
  2. Kristina Salinovic for Harper’s Bazaar Singapore.
  3. Gwen Stefani for Harper’s Bazaar shot by Terry Richardson.
  4. Lady Gaga for Vogue shot by Mert & Marcus.
  5. Emma Stone for Interview shot by Mikael Jansson.
  6. Linda Evangelista for Interview Russia shot by Nikolay Biryukov.
  7. Lindsey Wixson for Flare shot by Max Abadian.
  8. Victoria Beckham for Glamour by Pamela Hanson.
  9. Kate Moss for Vogue Paris shot by Mert & Marcus.
  10. Maryna Linchuk for Vogue España shot by Miguel Reveriego.

Do you agree? What were YOUR favorites?
Have a great September everyone!

Editorial of the Week:

Emma Stone for Interview September 2021 shot by Mikael Jansson.

This is just outstanding! The way they have played with lights, and made her look so tough, when she usually is just quirky. Of course is Karl Temper styling, so enough said.

Also, I could bid my life that she is wearing Eddie Borgo earrings….Just saying

I usually post this the first days of the month, but for some reason iCal didn’t remind me as it always does and I completely forgot! Sorry :(

As far as the magazines go, I loved Kate Moss (even though she is barely recognizable) on that rock in the middle of the sea. I think it is not Vogue at all and that is what I love about it.

Also, Marion Cottillard always takes my heart with her outstanding beauty. And this cover is no exception.

Here are my favorite covers for this month:

  1. Kate Moss for Harper’s Bazaar Indonesia shot by Terry Richardson.
  2. Marion Cottilaliard for Vogue Paris shot by Mario Sorrenti.
  3. Aline Weber for Harper’s Bazaar Turkey shot by Koray Birand.
  4. Charlize Theron and Michael Fassbender for W Magazine shot by Mario Sorrenti.
  5. Emma Stone for Vogue UK shot by Claire Richardson.

Summer is here and water themed shoots are taking over fashion editorials. I for one love this Harper’s Bazaar España cover, I think it is a bold choice and aesthetically flawless.  I also love that Emma Stone has been the center of a lot of fashion discussions lately, as well as having another cover this month alongside her (sexy) SpiderMan co-star, Andrew Garfield, for Teen Vogue shot by Josh Ollins.

Now, as I have said before a number of times, I LOVE Karlie Kloss. And she and Joan Smalls look strangely alike, and beautiful for W Magazine this month. So I guess it counts just as one cover, or is it still 2 different ones? Eh…

Here are my favorite covers for this month:

  1. Harper’s Bazaar España featuring Hanaa Ben Abdesslem shot by Txema Yeste.
  2. Vogue Italia featuring Vanessa Axente & Mackenzie Drazan shot by Steven Meisel.
  3. Vogue featuring Emma Stone shot by Mario Testino.
  4. Vogue Nederlands featuring Rianne Ten Haken by Petrovsky & Ramone.
  5.  W Magazine featuring Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls by Steven Meisel

Met Gala 2012 Impossible Conversations: Best Dressed 3

It was a good trip, but as all good things must come to an end here are the last best dressed of this year’s Met Ball.

Emma Stone in Lanvin.
More than beautiful she looks cute, like little girl picking up flowers kind of cute.

Rooney Mara in Givenchy.

Sofia Vergara in Marchesa.

Emma Roberts in Escada.
Is it weird I kind of want to taste that dress?

Elizabeth Banks in Mary Katrantzou.
Is she the next Daphne Guiness?

Carey Mulligan in Prada.
She looks like a fish. A fierce fish.

Sarah Jessica Parker in Valentino.

Amy Adams in Giambattista Valli.

Coco Rocha in Vintage Givenchy.
Love, love, love that she took a bold choice and went with a suit, a yellow suit for that matter; and look at her danm hair! I want that hair so bad now.
This is the part when I say: I saw Coco Rocha wearing a yellow suit and pink hair, so I bought a yellow suit and got pink hair.

Renée Zellweger in Emilio Pucci.

Mary-Kate Olsen in The Row.

Cate Blanchet in Alexander McQueen.

Ashley Greene in custom Donna Karan.

This is all for today! Now let’s start prepping for next year’s Met Ball.

Best Dressed Academy Awards 2012 Part.2

Emma stone in Giambattista Valli.

Yes, we get it. She looked like Nicole Kidman at the 2007 Oscars. Get over it!

Leslie Mann in Roberto Cavalli.

Melissa McCarthy in Marina Rinaldi.

Big girls for the win! she is so funny.

Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton.

I always get my Michelle Williams, Carey Mulligan and Mia Wasikowska mixed up. Is it so hard to get different haircuts?!

Rooney Mara in GIvenchy Haute Couture.

Glen Close in Zac Posen.

Is it weird that I think she kind of looks LIKE Zac Posen here?

Rose Byrne in Vivienne Westwood.

Mia Jovovich in Elie Saab.

Speechless, breathless, in love.

Miss Piggy in Zac Posen.

She is my muse and everyone should learn from her.
