My Top 5 Magazine Covers November 2012:

It is obviously not the first day of November, but here they are! These are my favorites of the month. It was a tough competition between the international versions of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, but in the end it is Antidote who takes the best cover award. Even though the magazine had about 7 covers for their “Animal Issue” this one, featuring Daphne Groenveld, is just breathtaking.

Here they are:

  1. Daphne Groenveld for Antidote shot by Txema Yeste.
  2. Eugina Volonida for Harper’s Bazaar España.
  3. Penelope Cruz for Vogue España by Tom Munro
  4. Kate Upton for Vogue Italia by Steven Meisel.
  5. Gisele Bundchen for Harper’s Bazaar Brasil by Terry Richardson

Best Dressed Academy Awards 2012 Part.1

Penélope Cruz in Giorgio Armani

Cameron Diaz in Gucci Premiere

Ellie Kemper in Armani Prive

I love how phoenix’ish this dress is. Shine on!

Judy Greer in Monique Lhuillier.

Über chic. Enough said.

Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen.

Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji.

How danm cute was she when she won the Oscar? I was so excited for her. She deserved this award so much after ALWAYS being killed first in every movie she was in.

Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford.

Kate Mara in Jack Guisso Couture.

Meryl Streep in Lanvin.

She finally wins an Oscar after all these years of being nominated.

Katie looks stunning in Louis Vuitton, it just makes me love the cover so much more! From the makeup to her hair and the expression in her eyes. I really, really liked this cover, especially because it’s not cluttered with a lot of text, which honestly drags me more into a magazine than a lot of ”101 ways to look hotter in the summer” or ”Is red the new orange which is the new green, which was the new black?”.

On second place is the beautiful  Jessica Stam, yes it is a more commercial cover, but I just can’t resist her beauty, which also shows that EVEN if the cover is full of distraction, a model should always be able to stand out among all the words surrounding her face.

As for Emma Watson, even though she refused to take a picture with me when I met her at the Ritz in Paris, I still have an undying love for her talent and style; Claudia Shchiffer as glamourous as always and Penélope has some androgyny that captivates me when I look at the cover, so here they are my top 5:

1. Katie Fogarty by Kai Z. Feng for Vogue Australia.

2. Jessica Stam by MAx Abadian for Flare.

3. Emma Watson by Alex Lubomirski for Harper’s Bazaar UK.

4. CLaudia Schiffer by Miles Aldridge for Vogue Germany.

5. Penélope Cruz by Mert & Marcus for V Magazine #72
